How it works

One room, six steps

Every room goes the same way, so you always know what comes next and what you've agreed to.

  • 01

    A call or a text

Tell us the room and what's failing. A photo of the electrical panel helps us most.

  • 02

    The walk-through

We come to the house, open the panel, look at the room and ask how you live in it.

  • 03

    The written plan

The work, the equipment by model, what is not included, the permit and a start date, for that room and a note for the others.

  • 04

    Your yes, in writing

Nothing starts until you sign. A change after that is agreed in writing before we do it.

  • 05

    The work

We cover the floor, protect the room and tell you the day before what will be turned off and for how long.

  • 06

    Inspection and walk-through

The inspector signs off. Then we show you how it works and leave the labeled panel, the record and the notes.

The Albuquerque year

When each room fits the calendar

The desert has its own seasons for work. Schedule around them and the work goes quicker.

  • Mini-splits

Before the first hot week, or after the cooler is shut off in the fall.

Mar to May, Sep to Oct

  • Water heaters

Any month, but swapping before the garage turns cold is gentler on a heat pump unit.

    Aug to Nov

  • Roof and conduit

Dry days only. We stay off roofs in the afternoon storms of the monsoon.

    Oct to Jun

  • Kitchens

Any month. We avoid the week of a big holiday so you can cook.

    all year

  • Panels and garage circuits

Any month. Power is off for part of a day, so we pick a mild one.

    all year

Typical months for the Albuquerque area. Your walk-through sets the real schedule.

What we ask of you

Little to prepare, but two things help a lot

A clear path to the panel and the room: we move nothing of yours, so a closet full of boxes in front of the panel slows the day. And someone over 18 at home for the start and the end of the day, so we can show you what is off, what is on and where things are.

  • The panel and the room reachable on the day

  • Pets and plants away from the work zone

  • A call if anything about the plan changes

Ready for the first call?

A text with a photo of your panel is a good first step.
