How pricing works
There's no price list, because the same room can be a morning or two days. Here is what decides it and when you get the number.
What decides the price
The same things in every room, in a different mix.
How far the new wire runs from the panel
What the walls and the roof are made of
Whether the panel has room or comes first
The equipment you choose
What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
The labor, the permit, the circuit and the equipment named by model. It leaves out anything not written: new cabinets, plumbing beyond capping a gas line, and a utility's own charges.
What happens at the visit
We open the panel, look at the room and ask how you live in it. The walk-through and the written plan for one room have no charge. Drawings or engineering, if a job needs them, are quoted separately and agreed in writing first.
How and when you pay
A deposit when you sign, within what New Mexico rules allow, and the rest as each room is finished. Both are written into the contract. You can pay by check or card.
If the job changes
If we open a wall and find something the plan didn't show, we stop, tell you what we found and what it adds, and wait for your yes in writing before we go on.
When you get the number
In writing, after the walk-through and before any work. It's a fixed amount for the work described, not an hourly rate.
This page names no prices. Your written estimate sets your price.
Room by room
What moves the price of each room
Distance from the panel, wall type, panel space.
The unit you choose, circuit and panel space, venting and drain.
How many wall units, line-set run, electrical capacity.
Amps now and amps needed, meter and service mast, condition of what is there.
Distance from the panel, a detached garage, panel capacity.
The conduit path, roof type, which circuits to back up.
Rebates and incentives
Rebates are yours to look up
Utilities, the state and the federal government have offered incentives for some of this equipment, and they change often. We don't put amounts on this site because an old number does more harm than none.
What we do: list the equipment by model on an itemized invoice, so you can apply to whatever is open when you apply.
